The SUV received a major facelift in October 2024 – which also included an update, making the engine CNG-ready. So, let’s talk more about the Nissan Magnite CNG launch.

Nissan Magnite CNG Launch – Price
Nissan India has launched the CNG powertrain option with the Magnite. Currently, the SUV is priced between Rs 7.43 lakh & Rs 14.36 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Talking of the pricing of CNG, the brand will offer the kit at an extra cost of Rs 74,999. Also, do note that it is a retrofit kit that has been approved by the government. And yes, the CNG kit will continue with a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty. That said, Nissan will begin with the bookings of Magnite CNG from the 1st of June 2025 at authorised Nissan dealerships across 7-states – Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala & Karnataka!

Now, the Nissan Magnite is offered with two engine options – 1.0-litre NA petrol engine (71bhp & 96Nm) & 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (99bhp & 160Nm). However, Nissan is offering CNG only with the 1.0-litre NA petrol engine.
What Else?
Nissan India is yet to reveal complete details of the new CNG model. However, we have learned a few important aspects of the SUV. The boot space is not yet revealed. However, Nissan has confirmed that the 12-kg CNG cylinder will allow enough space for one large-sized suitcase and a couple of small bags. Also, the official claimed mileage will be revealed in the coming days.

Additionally, it is revealed that owners of current Magnite SUVs can also get the CNG kit retrofitted in their SUVs. However, Nissan is not recommending that the owners of pre-facelift Magnite get the CNG kit installed. As mentioned above, Nissan has worked on the engine for CNG modification with the facelift. And so, the brand recommends the owners of Magnite facelift to take advantage of the CNG!
