Tata Motors has been producing menacing-looking SUVs for quite a while. The brand offers a “Dark Edition” variant for many of its cars, which takes the car’s design up a notch. Tata has now updated the Curvv SUV with a new Dark Edition. It is safe to say that it has enhanced the design of the sporty SUV. Tata has been killing it with its “Dark Edition” trims, and the Curvv now gets the blacked-out treatment too. The Tata Curvv EV also gets the Dark Edition treatment with similar design tweaks to the ICE alternatives. The Dark Edition for the Curvv EV is only available for the Empowered + A. The Tata Curvv Dark Edition includes all black design elements for the front and rear bumpers, wheel-arch cladding, grille, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also gets black leatherette upholstery, centre console and headlining. All the chrome elements have been replaced with black elements. The Curvv Dark Edition is only available in Acomplished and Acomplished + trims. It carries a price tag ranging from Rs 19.37 Lakh to Rs 23.32 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The Curvv EV Dark Edition is priced at Rs 23.30 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Curvv gets a slew of features like a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, an electric driver’s seat, reclining rear seats, and loads more. On the tech front, you get a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. It also gets ADAS functions including auto-emergency braking, rear and forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera. That said, the Curvv is one of the most feature-loaded SUVs.

Powertrain

Powertrain

The Curvv Dark Edition gets 2 engine options and a single battery pack option. It gets a 1.2-litre turbo petrol Hyperion Engine producing 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque and either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCA. The Dark Edition Curvv also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 bhp and 260 Nm of torque, along with either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCA. The Curvv EV gets a 55 kWh battery and a single electric motor producing 165 bhp and 215 Nm of torque, and a claimed range of 502 Km.
