The most affordable Maruti car climbed up on the list and gets hands on better safety features. Yes, the Alto K10 is now the most affordable and even a safer car as now it gets offered with 6-airbags as standard along with inclusion of reverse parking sensor and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers across all its variants. With offering these safety features, Maruti has also slightly hiked the prices of its Alto k10, the base Standard variant price has increased by  Rs 14,000, the LXi variant has seen a price increase of Rs 6,000, the VXi variant has seen a price increase of Rs 16,000 and top end VXi+ variant has seen a price increase of Rs 10,000.

What Else?

Maruti Alto Safety

Apart from these features, no other changes are offered from the brand. Powertrain-wise, it continues with the same 1.0-litre three cylinder K-series engine. The engine is capable of producing 66 bhp and 89 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. The model is also offered in CNG guise, producing an output of 55 bhp and 82 Nm torque.

Now Talking about the pricing, Alto K10 is currently priced between Rs 4.89 lakh and Rs 7.19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) after the update.

Other Safe Maruti Cars

Maruti shocked everyone by achieving 5-star safety with its new Dzire. Apart from that, other Maruti cars that are equipped with 6-airbag features are new gen Swift, Celerio, Brezza and now Alto K10. India’s largest automaker is also gearing up to launch its first electric SUV, e Vitara in the country, which is expected to come this month.
