Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift launched!

Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift has just been launched. This is the company’s titvated version of the CLA, which is their smallest sedan on offer in India. There are several changes made on the CLA as it now offers more embellishments.  The new CLA prices start at INR 35 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). So, what does the new CLA have on offer? We share all the details.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Engine

The 220d is more powerful and at the same time, Mercedes-Benz might be trying to targeting the A4 maybe with increased power. The petrol will continue to be the 200, the same engine that was earlier available on the CLA. Mercedes-Benz is looking at enhancing its product portfolio. There won’t be any major upgrades with regards to the engines or even the mechanicals.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Changes

The CLA facelift will get a new front grille, revised design for the interiors like a new steering wheel and some more minor changes as well. The new diamonds on the front grille are black and both the bumpers have got an update too.

The tailpipe trim panels themselves are now integrated flush into the bumper. New trim elements in sail-look finish, matt black ash wood (in conjunction with Exclusive package), black Dinamica microfibre (optional in conjunction with AMG Line) or aluminium with honeycomb grain, serve to liven up the interior. The long wheelbase of the CLA makes it a lot more spacious in the second row, when compared to the A3. This gives it an advantage.

The optional LED High Performance headlamps are combined here with tail lights with automatic intensity control. These reduce the dazzling effect for vehicles following. The multi-level functionality regulates the brightness of the brake lights and direction indicators in three stages (Day/Night-time driving/Night-time stationary).

Mercedes-Benz CLA Features

The electrically adjustable driver’s seat enables convenient and individual adjustment of the seat position. The memory function allows up to three positions to be stored for the seat and the exterior mirrors, for subsequent selection as required. Appraently, it even gets a 20 CD changer audio system.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Design

The changes on the CLA are visible and fairly limited. To begin with, it gets a stylish front grille with redesigned front bumper. The LED cluster on the headlamp has also seen a change in design. The CLA features re-designed taillights for a dynamic visual appearance. In addition to the striking look, the LED High Performance headlamps provide more safety at night. The tail lights feature LED technology and create a visual highlight while improving visibility.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Price

The new CLA 200d Style has been priced at INR 35 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai), while the most expensive one is the CLA 200 Sport which is priced at INR 37 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).
