Ford is reportedly planning to launch the new generation EcoSport in the European markets. The new model will be bigger than its predecessor and will rival the new Duster and Citroen C3 Aircross. The length of the new model is currently not put on the tables yet. But, as the brand is going to stretch the SUV more, expect more in-cabin space. 

Apart from its grown length, the new model will also feature a new design language. Expect the new model to get a reworked front grille, new LED headlamps and dual-tone alloy wheels. Talking about the interiors, the new model will be equipped with a larger touchscreen, wireless charging, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and ADAS Suite.

Powertrain

But what about the powertrain? Globally this new Ford SUV will be offered with multiple powertrain options. The model gets equipped with the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost mild-hybrid setup and a pure electric powertrain. Talking about the India bound model, expect the new SUV to get the same mild-hybrid powertrain.

So Will It Come To India? 

Currently, Ford is planning to launch this new EcoSport SUV in the European markets. While the brand has not confirmed yet about launching this new SUV in India, industry rumours suggest that the brand is soon going to launch its CBU model in the country. We expect the brand to make more announcements regarding the launch of the new gen EcoSport SUV in India soon.
