Next-Gen Mahindra Scorpio Getaway – Spied
The upcoming facelift of the Scorpio Getaway was spied testing. This Getaway is based on the new-generation Scorpio and will be launched later this year.
The Scorpio Getaway will get the same front-end as the current Scorpio and will have the same rear portion of the current Scorpio Getaway. There is a plastic insert on the C-pillar, similar to the current model. The vehicle is also slated for exports to Australia and Middle East. Higher variants grades might get projector headlamps with LED pilot lamps, bonnet scoop, toothed grille with chrome inserts, and fog lamps.
The interior will carried over from the new generation the Scorpio. This will include the new dashboard, instrument cluster with MID screen, 4-spoke steering wheel and new switchgear, along with new fabric seats.
The Getaway will have better quality interiors also better equipment.
The Scorpio is based on the same ladder frame chassis as the Scorpio. It will be powered by the 2.2-litre and also the new 1.99-litre mHawk diesel engine. It will generate a power of tuned for 118 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Getaway will also come with a 4WD, which will be for the export market mainly.
It is to be seen if Mahindra introduce this in the Indian market as well.
