Punch Facelift – What’s New

Tata Punch facelift was recently spotted testing on the road revealing various details. The model will get minimal cosmetic updates to refresh its overall look. The SUV will share its exterior details with the EV version; that includes a connected LED light bar and split LED headlamps. The major difference between the EV and regular model will be a redesigned grille, bumper and air intake. We also expect 16-inch new design alloy wheels and a new shark fin-antenna to also be offered on the Punch Facelift.

On the inside, the new model is expected to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, and the new 7-inch digital instrument cluster and new drive mode buttons on the centre console. Additionally, the Tata Punch is also expected to borrow features from the Tata Nexon.

Currently the punch is offered with 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, reverse parking camera and TPMS in its package. However, the facelifted Punch is expected to offer six airbags, 360 degree camera and a blind view monitor among others.

What Else?

Talking about the powertrain, we expect the Tata Punch facelift to remain mechanically unchanged. It will continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 86 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and an AMT gearbox. There is also a CNG option on the same engine capable of producing 72 bhp and 103 Nm of peak torque. Only a manual gearbox is available on the CNG variant. But with the facelift, Tata could introduce an AMT gearbox for CNG variants like the Tata Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG.
