Renault will be making a new compact sedan and a crossover on the Kwid platform. Renault first started to work on the CMF (Common Module Family) platform way back in 2009 when the first sketch of the Kwid was made.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance later put in all its efforts to develop CMF-A platform, which would cater to the entry level car segments.

The first product to be based on the A version of the CMF  modular platform was the Renault Kwid which was launched last year. Speaking to the media at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO, Renault-Nissan Alliance, announced that there will be more CMF-A platform-based vehicles which will be launched in the near future.

“Obviously we’re going to have crossover, we’re going to have sedans, we’re going to have things like this (CMF-A platform-based small cars), because there is an appeal for India, and this is not only about India, this is about all emerging markets”, Mr. Ghosn said.

The CMF-A platform-based compact sedan will be a sub 4-metre one which will compete with the likes of  the Maruti Swift Dzire, Ford Figo Aspire, Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent. The crossover will also be a 4-metre-sized vehicle which will compete with the Mahindra KUV100 and the upcoming Maruti Ignis. Renault also plans to introduce a low-cost electric car in India, in a few years as indicated by Carlos Ghosn.

The CMF platform which stands for ‘Common Module Family’ and is completely designed and developed in India, as also it is heavily localised. It will also be the very first platform to be exported. This platform will be shared with other Renault products globally and a majority of parts will be exported from India, wherever the CMF-A platform will be used.

Renault has just increased the production capacity of the Kwid. Now, the company is working towards enhancing the small negative points that are there on this entry-level hatchback. The Kwidwill be new mirrors next months.

  • Complaint against your Dealer_Active Motors Pvt Ltd_H-12 Sec 63 Noida
    Hi sir,

    Good Afternoon!!!!

This is Rajesh Pal Singh from Noida, purchased my Kwid RXL Car No- UP16CL1057, Registration date-3 Dec 2019 and purchase date was-25th Nov 2019 brought from Renault Noida, H block building no-12 sec 63 Noida.

When I heard about high security number plate ON 19th Oct, immediately I called to Showroom there Nemita Negi picked and asking me to send my document with 1050 Rs/- without checking anything about my paper she deposited and never informed me that i do have already this HSRP, blindly she kept money and my documents on 21 Oct, after 3 days when I checked my car number plate, it was already there reason i purchased after 1st April 2019 when rule passed.

Today 24th Oct I called her and asked that without knowing customer history or documents why she is collected my money and requested documents, then she shouted and did misbehave and pass on my call to male, don’t know his name, he was similarly saying that showroom collecting blindly documents reason we have 25000 customers for HSRP, we can’t see their document have much pressure on us.

Then I called Showroom manager he was also did misbehaved and clearly saying that we are not responsible for your concern, and do whatever you can.

Now my concern is there in short, if customers aren’t aware about whether they do have it on their car or not, because I heard it for the first time then I inquired from them.

If showroom people are not listing properly customer concern then where i have to go.

I paid them 1050 rupees although I already have that HSRP plate, I requested them please refund my money then he is saying we can’t back it go and do whatever you want to do. These people are not realizing their mistake whatever they did.

Here the point is not money. I am more concerned about fraud than what they did with me, why they have not checked my document and not suggested me rightly.

Showroom manager argued with me and shouted, tell me now is this the right solution we get from this showroom.

Three people Nemita Negi, Anup in sales, Showroom manager all three people are doing fraud there. Why not check documents and be aware of customers?

And is this the way to talk your customer kar le jo bhi karna hai hum nhi darte kisi se, like this.

I will put these reviews on social media and glass door also. I am very much upset with their behave and way of talking.

Please suggest me if you could do anything in this issue.

Else I am posting it on social platform , reason that these people harmed my social image.

Very bad services they are providing, I am supposed to giving reference of my friend at Diwali, planing to buy it, now with this kind of services, he dropped his plan for your brand go in Hyundai.
