Now although we do not know the exact timeline, Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor CNG AMTs are likely to launch in the coming few weeks. The brand has already started the bookings of the lineup and the launch should not be far away. Currently, the Tiago CNG is priced between Rs 7.47 to Rs 9.33 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Whereas the Tigor CNG is priced between Rs 8.85 to Rs 10.65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). For the automatic option, we are expecting Tata Motors to charge a premium of Rs 75,000 to Rs 80,000.

Upcoming Tata cars – Engine Specifications

Both the Tiago and the Tigor are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. For CNG, the 1.2-litre unit produces 72bhp and 95Nm of peak torque. This engine was previously mated with a sole 5-speed gearbox but now will come with an option for 5-speed AMT. Most likely, it will be the same AMT unit which is available with the regular Tiago & Tigor.

Upcoming Tata cars – No other changes

Other than the new transmission options, the Tiago and Tigor will continue to remain the same. No changes on the exterior or interior is expected. However, Tata might add a proud badge of AMT on the body of both the cars. Even the feature list will likely remain unchanged and get all the equipment that current models are offering.
