Ford Ecosport will be undergoing a major facelift in 2017. The interiors of the same have been spied in Brazil. Testing of the  facelifted Ford Ecosport has begun and it is expected to be launched by late 2016 in Brazil and in the USA too. The rendering of the Ecosport makes it look like the new Ford Edge.

The interior of the Ecosport has a full back finish. The spy pics indicate the same the same dashboard but it gets a brand new instrument cluster. The instrument cluster gets a large MID screen in the centre that has better visibility.

The biggest change in the new Ford Ecosport will be the exteriors, which will get a new front fascia. This will include new styling for the headlamps, grille, bonnet, fenders and bumpers. The SUV will also get new five-spoke alloy wheels with matte-black finish. The rear will only get a new bumper and it may retain the spare wheel on the boot lid, most likely.

The new Ecosport will also see the arrival of a new 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. The diesel engine will remain the same. The Ford Ecosport had kick-started a new segment amongst the compact SUVs, when launched in India and since then it has been one of the favourite SUVs to buy. Competition has been growing lately in its segment and Fird is wary of the Maruti Vitara Brezza which is sue for a launch shortly.  Recently Ford had introduced a minor facelift of the Ecosport, with the only changes being to the tweaking of the engine for better drivability, changes to the control stalks and introduction of a new colour.
