Tata Nexon facelift has become a major talking point for a few months now. With time we have seen more and more spy shots of test mules of the Nexon which have revealed many details, inside and out. Recently we even got a glimpse of the front of the Nexon wherein the camouflage wasn’t completely covered. However, this time around a completely undisguised photo of the Nexon was leaked, revealing all the details of the SUV’s rear design. The photo was leaked during the TVC shoot of the Nexon facelift.

New Tata Nexon Design Completely Revealed

As you can see in the photo, the Nexon gets a completely new shade of colour which is for the first time in any Tata car.

Talking about the design, the Nexon gets a new design for the rear spoiler with a wraparound effect. Also, as spied earlier, the rear wiper seems tucked under the new spoiler, a design language inspired from the Land Rover.

As we move ahead, we can now confirm that the new Nexon will get the connected tail lamps that run through the width of the car and splits towards the edges. The overall design of the tailgate looks similar to the current model with a bold Nexon badging.

The lower part has been completely redesigned as well. It has C-Shaped protrusions that house the reflectors and are placed at the edges, giving the SUV a wider stance.

The Front Design

Up front, the SUV now gets a more upright design for the grille. It also has a blacked out element that houses the DRL. Just like other Tata cars, the Nexon too now gets eyebrow designed DRLs, while the main headlamp units are placed on the lower part of the bumper. Also, we can see the car gets a new air dam. Overall, the front fascia of the new Nexon is now sharper than the outgoing model and seems heavily inspired by the Curvv concept.

Features

The feature list could include 360 degree camera, updated IRA system, an all new touch-sensitive AC control panel, paddle shifters, new digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Engine and transmission

Powering the Nexon could be the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. For the petrol engine the Nexon will get a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and an all new 7-speed DCA transmission option. Whereas the diesel engine will continue to get 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.

Launch and Pricing

Talking about the launch timeline, well Tata Motors has already sent us the media drive invitations for the 4th and 5th September. So we can expect the launch to happen very soon. Will the Nexon facelift get costlier? Well with such a major update that includes a new list of features, we can expect a major hike in the pricing of the Nexon.
