Mercedes-Benz has launched the E edition of the E-Class in order to commemorate twenty years of presence in India. The price the Edition E starts at INR53.40 lakhs (on-road, Pune).The E-class has been the highest selling Mercedes-Benz and is in its fifth generation in India.

Twenty years is the longest tenure of local manufacturing for any luxury car in India. Mercedes-Benz has sold over 32,000 E-Class units since its launch in 1995. It is the highest sold luxury sedan in the country as well and has the distinction of being the first ‘Made in India’ luxury car.

The E200 Edition E is priced at INR 53.4 lakhs of the E200. The E250CDI costs INR 55.7 lakhs and the E350CDI costs INR 66.6 lakhs. All prices are on-road, Pune. The E-Class Edition E blends the characteristic sporty design, comfort, and luxury with a number of safety features. Along with the car, the company also launched their new brand campaign ‘Wish upon a Star.’

The edition E cars maintain the Avantgarde styling with intelligent technology and elegant interiors that accentuated the suave styling of the E-Class. The cars remain the same in their technical specifications.

The new generation Mercedes Benz E-Class gets a unique Edition E badge on both front fenders and the boot lid along with AMG styling with a front double slat grille. It also gets multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Edition E comes with Thermotronic Automatic AC. It also has seats which have three memory settings and Active Park assists with rear parking camera.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Edition E Engine:

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Edition E comes with three engine options. The E200 Edition E with a 2.0-litre petrol engine churns out maximum power of 184bhp and maximum torque of 300Nm, with a top speed of 233km/h. The E250 CDI Edition E has a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces a power of 204bhp and peak torque of 500Nm, with a top speed of 242km/hr. The E350 CDI Edition E comes with a 3.0-litre V6 engine, producing 265bhp of maximum power and 620Nm of maximum torque, and a top speed of 250km/h.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Edition E Features:

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Edition E comes with 8 airbags as standard for all variants. The Neck-Pro head restraints for the driver and the front passenger can be activated in a rear impact. The spring mechanism moves the head restrains to reduce strain in the spine. Moreover, the adaptive brake lights flash red warning signal from the tail light when emergency brakes are applied. The LED headlamps feature the Intelligent Light System that adapts light distribution as per the drivers situation.
