Nissan is quite an underrated brand in India. It has launched some great products but has never been able to continue the sales momentum. Currently, Nissan is only surviving on the sales of the Magnite. However, Nissan knows that it will need to bring in more cars. So Nissan is working on an affordable 7-seater for the Indian market. In today’s article, let’s talk about this Nissan 7-seater 2023.

New plan

Nissan 7 seater 2023

Nissan lacks an affordable 7-seater option. Nissan is lacking in quite a lot of segments, but the affordable 7-seater is lucrative for a brand like Nissan. Earlier we had covered that Nissan is planning to launch a Magnite 7-seater. However, the brand has dropped that plan. It is instead working on a new seater based on the Renault Triber. This will not just be a badge swipe, but rather something similar to what Toyota and Maruti do with the Grand Vitara & Urban Cruiser HyRyder.

What could change?

Nissan 7-seater will get its own distinctive identity. Nissan could give it a front design similar to the Magnite to continue the family look. So we can expect aggressive design language. The interior layout could be similar with the same features as an 8.0-inch infotainment, roof-mounted AC vents, push-button start-stop etc. What about the specifications? It could come with the same 1.0 naturally aspirated engine capable of producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. We hope Nissan gives a turbo option missing on the Triber. Transmission options will include a manual and an AMT gearbox.

Nissan 7 seater 2023 – Launch timeline

Considering the car will be based on the Triber, it should not be that difficult for Nissan. We don’t have a definitive timeline for the launch, but the Nissan 7-seater is expected by the end of 2023. What about the pricing? Generally, Nissan cars are priced lower than their Renault counterparts. So we can expect the Nissan 7-seater to become the most affordable 7-seater in the market.
