Tata Safari is an iconic SUV in the Indian market. Since its re-launch in 2021, the Safari has raked in decent sales numbers. However, the launch of the Mahindra XUV700 changed the tide. To counter this, Tata launched the Safari Red Dark edition with all the features. But people have been demanding a design refresh. So Tata is testing the Safari facelift. But, the Safari facelift has been spotted in a unique location. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Safari facelift 2023.

We all know Tata is working on the Safari facelift, and the car is regularly spotted testing in the country. Now Tata seems to want more test data and is testing the SUV in South Korea. In new spy shots posted on Autopsy, the Safari can be seen testing on a South Korean highway. In the spy shot, we can see the new sharp front design with an upright grille design. The side profile looks more or less similar barring the new alloy wheels. At the rear, we can see a new tail light design and probably a bigger spoiler.

What else do we know?

Tata has already given most of the demanded features in the Red Dark edition like ADAS, 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster etc. So the facelift would be more of a design update. Still, Tata could give some new features like LED headlamps, a 12-inch infotainment system, an electric tailgate etc. Though a slim possibility, Tata could introduce the new 1.5-litre petrol engine on the facelifted model. Transmission options could include a manual and a DCA gearbox on this petrol engine.

Tata recently wrapped up the launch of the Safari and Harrier Red Dark editions. So expectations were that the Safari facelift could be launched by the end of this year or early next year. However, new reports have stated that Tata plans to launch the Safari facelift by September this year. Pricing-wise, it could be Rs 60k to 80k more expensive than the current top model pricing.
