The last few years have been astronomical for Tata Motors. The major contributor to this growth has been the Tata Nexon. It has staked the claim to the top-selling SUVs list for quite some time now. Now the Nexon is losing its crown to the Brezza. So Tata is working on the facelifted model of the Nexon to bring it back to the top. Now new spy shots of the Nexon facelift have surfaced online showcasing a cool new feature.
What’s the new feature?
The Tata Nexon facelift has been regularly spotted testing in different parts of the country. With each spy shot, we are seeing how Tata is making the Nexon even more premium. These new spy shots were sent to us by Aroon on our Instagram. In this, we can see the rear of the Nexon. When the car brakes we can see the connected tail lamps in action, confirming their presence. Connected tail lamps seem to be becoming the latest trend in this segment.
What else do we know?
The Nexon exterior is set to get several changes like a Curvv-inspired front design and a reworked rear design. In the interior, it has been spotted with a two-spoke steering wheel with a black element in the middle. Other expected features include a 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, 10-inch infotainment system etc. What about specifications? Tata could give it a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine it showcased at the Auto Expo. Transmission options include a manual and a new DCA gearbox. Diesel engine options will continue the same on the Nexon facelift.
Nexon facelift feature – Launch timeline
Tata has been quite silent about the launch timeline of the Nexon facelift. But according to rumours, Tata plans to launch the Nexon facelift by August 2023. This rumour does make sense considering the frequency of spy shots in the last few months. In terms of price hikes, we can expect a major hike due to the changes and new features.
