Kia as a manufacturer is growing rapidly in the country. Even with its late start, it has already leapfrogged a lot of established brands in India. Like Hyundai, Kia has shown that it is quite proactive with constant updates and editions for its cars. Currently, it is working on the Seltos facelift to stay ahead of the curve, and now the Sonet facelift has also been spotted in South Korea. The Sonet is only manufactured in India, so this spied model could be manufactured in India before being shipped to South Korea. Coming back to the spy shots let’s talk about the Kia Sonet facelift 2023.

Kia Sonet facelift 2023 – New spy shots

The heavily camouflaged car was spotted testing in South Korea. It is easy to figure out this is the Sonet from the side profile. Through the camouflage, we can spot some major design tweaks. At the front, we can spot a sharper headlamp design and a new piano black finish. The bumper has also been tweaked a little and the fog lamp housing has also gotten a bit bigger. Side profile seems more or less similar. Tail lamp design gets a major change with vertical L-shaped placement similar to the Seltos facelift spotted in India.

What else to expect?

Kia Sonet facelift 2023

The Sonet is already one of the most feature-loaded cars in India. So we don’t expect Kia to add much in terms of kit. It could tweak the upholstery to some extent and add some features like a cooled glovebox, heads-up display, electric driver seat etc. Another thing Kia could add is ADAS, which is expected on several new cars in this price range. What about the engine specifications? The Kia Sonet facelift will most probably continue with the same engine options. So it could continue with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Kia has upgraded all these engines to meet the RDE norms.

The Sonet facelift could be launched by the end of this year or early next year. With the added things, we can expect a price hike of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000, depending upon the variants.
