The Tata Nexon is motoring away in the SUV sales. In the last few months only a few times the Nexon has missed out on the top spot. As a product, the Nexon ticks several boxes with its safety, features and peppy engines. Another thing Tata has done well is by bringing in special variants of the Nexon. It has launched the Dark, Jet and Kaziranga editions. Now Tata could bring another edition in the form of a Nexon CNG. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Nexon CNG.

Nexon CNG

CNG cars are quickly becoming popular due to the high fuel cost. People who want an economical ride at a lower cost prefer the CNG option. Recently Maruti took off the wraps of the Brezza CNG. So this could be the cue for Nexon to bring in the CNG option. A CNG option on the Nexon will make it the most versatile car in the Indian market with petrol, CNG, diesel, and EV options available. Only a hybrid option will be missing. Should Tata also bring a hybrid Nexon? Do let us know in the comments.

What could change?

It’s a no-brainer that the first and foremost change will be the addition of a CNG tank in the boot. Could Tata offer the two-cylinder technology on the Nexon CNG? Only time will tell, but we expect it to offer that on the Nexon CNG. This will open a decent amount of boot space in the Nexon CNG.

The Tata Nexon CNG has been spotted a few times in testing, hinting that it is a real possibility in the coming days. Recently, Maruti launched the Brezza CNG, and even the Sonet CNG has been spotted in testing. So Tata could see what others are doing before launching the Nexon CNG. What about the price hike? We can expect a price hike of Rs 60,000 to Rs 70,000 depending upon the variants. Tata generally offers CNG on the higher variants and that could be the case with the Nexon CNG.
