At the Auto Expo, Tata surprised everyone by revealing the Altroz Racer edition. The Racer edition comes with the same overall design as the normal Altroz, but with some subtle changes. We have a black bonnet, white strips, blacked-out alloy wheels and an extended spoiler. Under the hood, the Altroz racer comes with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine capable of producing 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. Tata uses this same engine in the Nexon. Additional features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, wireless charging, digital instrument cluster, 6 airbags and a sunroof. What about its launch? The brand has officially stated that it plans to launch the Altroz Racer in the upcoming months.

Tata showcased the Altroz EV at the Auto Expo of 2020. The Altroz EV had the same design as the normal Altroz, but with some EV styling highlights. We could see some EV badging on the front and blue highlights on the bumper. In the interior, we could see the blue highlights continuing. What about the specs? The Altroz EV could share its specifications with the Nexon EV Prime. So we can expect a 30.2kWh battery pack with a 127bhp motor. It could get a claimed range of around 320 to 330km. What about the launch? Tata has been quite tightlipped about the launch of the Altroz EV. Still, it is expected to be launched by the end of this year.
