Honda SUV spotted close to production

Honda India is finally launching an SUV in the country. The brand is making a late entry into one of the fastest-growing segments in India. We have been talking about this SUV for a long time now and now we have new spy shots of the car in testing. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 new Honda SUV.

The spy shots of the Honda SUV were sent to us by one of our readers, Parshav Sharma. The heavily camouflaged car was spotted testing in Nagpur, but it is easy to guess it’s the upcoming Honda SUV from the rear design. So what new can we spot? We can spot pearl-shaped tail lamps and a rear wiper. Overall the rear looks quite beefed up with a lot of cladding. Also, we can spot blacked-out alloy wheels giving the SUV a sporty look. 

What else to expect?

According to reports, this SUV could be based on a modified version of the Amaze platform. It is expected to measure around 4,200mm and 4,300mm. What about the specifications of this SUV? It is expected to come with two engine options – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol. Transmission options could include manual and CVT on the naturally aspirated petrol and e-CVT on the strong hybrid petrol. Feature-wise, we can expect a panoramic sunroof, a big infotainment system, ADAS and much more. 

2023 new Honda SUV – Launch timeline 

Honda has already teased the Honda with the design sketches released earlier this year. According to reports, Honda plans to unveil the all-new SUV in the summer of 2023. Honda could be eyeing the window before the festive season for maximum traction. What about the pricing? This Honda SUV is expected to be priced competitively to take on the established players in this segment.
