Maruti EVX things you should know!
The majority of manufacturers have now entered the EV space with their cutting-edge models. Our homegrown automaker is the current leading brand with its Nexon EV. However, India’s largest car maker is also foraying its way in the EV game with the eVX. This concept model was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 revealing what could Maruti’s initial EVs could look like. What could they get? Let’s find out more about the upcoming Maruti EV.
Upcoming Maruti EV – EVx Concept
EVX concept measures 4300mm in length, 1800mm in width & 1,600mm in height. Looking at its dimensions, it does measure similar to cars like Creta, Seltos and others in the segment. Though it’s just a concept model as of now, its production version could be a C-segment SUV as well with a fully electric powertrain.
Design
The design of this model is an updated look of the Futuro concept revealed at Auto Expo 2020. The front look of the car is typically EV with a closed grille. Surrounding the grille, it gets C-shaped DRLs and as we move below, the sharp cuts and creases of the concept are seen. Moving to the sides, the concept model which is codenamed as ‘YY8’, gets a tall stance with SUVish looks.

Upcoming Maruti EV – Specifications
The brand has plans to invest huge sums of money in electrifying its portfolio. Its first-ever born electric SUV which is likely to be revealed in the upcoming years could get two electric powertrain options. A 48kWh pack with 400km of real-world range and a larger 60kWh pack with 550kms. There are also talks about the production model of this car to get a real-world range of 500 km.

The launch of this car is still a long time ahead which is somewhere around 2025. Moreover, if we talk about features, nothing as of now could be said. However, it could get all of the knicks and knacks that are the current USPs of the market.
