New Tata Nexon spotted again! Launch soon?
The Tata Nexon has skyrocketed in popularity in the last few years. Tata has done well by updating the Nexon with special editions and new features. But now people are asking for a design refresh. Tata knows it and has started working on the facelift. We have obtained new spy shots of the Nexon facelift in testing. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Tata Nexon.
New spy shots
The spy shots were sent to us by one of our subscribers, Tuhinanshu Singh. The car was spotted on the Leh Manali highway. Tata seems to be conducting high-altitude tests on the New Nexon. This could be to test out the new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. Coming back to the spy shots, the car is covered in heavy camouflage, but we can spot some design highlights. We can spot the changed LED tail lamp design. Other than that, we can see an extended spoiler, roof rails and connected tail lamp design.

What else do we know?
The new Nexon has been spotted several times now. Earlier spy shots had given us a sneak peek into the front design. This spied car had eyebrow DRLs similar to the Punch and Harrier. Also, the overall front design resembles the Curvv concept. What about the interiors? The interiors are expected to get a fresh look with a new dashboard layout. We could see a new floating infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera etc. There are rumours that Tata could even offer ADAS on the Nexon, which will be a segment first. In terms of specifications, we can expect a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that Tata showcased at the Auto Expo. Other than that, we will also see the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the current Nexon.
New Tata Nexon – Launch timeline
Tata is yet to reveal a proper launch timeline for the New Nexon. However, of late, the Nexon has been spotted several times in various parts of the country. This could hint that Tata is fast-tracking the development of the Nexon facelift. What about our expected launch timeline? We think Tata could launch the Nexon facelift in the second half of 2023.
