Hyundai has enjoyed success with its SUV lineup in the last few years. However, Hyundai is not giving up on other segments. It is working on giving the new Verna a major upgrade to increase its overall appeal. In the last few weeks, we have been getting a lot of spy shots of the new Verna and now we have clearest-ever night shots of the car. In today’s article, let’s talk about the design of the 2023 Verna.

New spy shots

2023 Verna

The spy shots were posted on the Instagram page of Shorts_car. We have covered spy shots before too, but these spy shots are unique as they clearly show the car with its light on. We can see the full-length DRLs in action. The car does show some resemblance to the Mercedes EQS. We can also see the LED headlamps and halogen fog lamps. The side profile looks quite well proportionate and premium. At the rear, we can see the LED tail lamp with the connecting strip in the middle, adding a lot of premiumness to the new Verna.

What else do we know?

2023 Verna

The new Verna is getting a major upgrade under the hood as it will come with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox. The second engine option continues to be the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit paired with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. Surprisingly, Hyundai has discontinued the diesel engine due to the upcoming emission norms. What about the expected features? We expect the new Verna to come with ADAS, a big infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera and much more.

Hyundai has already confirmed that it plans to launch the new Verna on the 21st of March 2023. For now, the brand has opened the bookings for the new Verna. What about the pricing?
