The Nexon which currently holds the ‘top-selling SUV’ position in the country has outsold every other SUV in the market. By offering safety, features, and powerful-yet-efficient engines, the Nexon has stolen the limelight in the market. Now, with the Red Dark edition just launched in the market, the new facelift model of the Nexon has also been spotted testing on Indian roads. What new will it get? Let’s talk about the new Tata Nexon facelift and the 5 things it could get.

Tata Nexon facelift – New Infotainment System

The compact SUV segment has cut-throat competition with cars getting loaded up with more and more features. If we talk about the Nexon though, the car still gets a 7.0-inch infotainment system which looks comparatively smaller when competition is taken in to consideration. Therefore, there is a high chance that the facelift model would get a bigger touchscreen system, probably the same unit that the Red Dark editions of the Harrier & Safari sport. This unit is fluid, bright and feels good to use.

Digital Instrument Cluster

Nexon gets a monotone instrument cluster with a digital layout. However, it does look basic with a void of modern touch. It appears dated due to the limited data available and thus, a requirement for an upgrade. We could see a digital cluster just like what we now see on the Harrier & Safari Red Dark to make the driver experience more modern.

Tata Nexon facelift – 360-degree camera

Nexon currently offers a rear-view camera from the XZ variant. There are cars like the Kia Sonet which now offer front parking sensors and more safety features than the Nexon. Therefore, we could see Tata adding the 360 surround view camera to ease up parking.

New engine

Tata showcased the new-generation 1.2-litre TGDi petrol engine at the Auto Expo 2023. This engine is likely to debut in the Tata Curvv, however we could also see it in the updated Nexon. This engine which makes 123bhp and 225Nm of torque is expected to power the Nexon too.
