Honda Cars needs to catch up on the sales chart as it has missed the boat of SUVs. However, the Japanese automaker has finally decided to enter the SUV race with a Creta rival car. It also plans to bring another one in the Nexon rivalling category in 2024. So, now we have two new upcoming SUVs from the brand but first, let’s talk about the one which is the first to arrive. Its the Honda Creta rival car which could be launched in 2023!

Honda is working on a new C-segment SUV developed explicitly for the Indian Market. The car is also likely to be exported to other developing countries which could prove potential for the vehicle. Besides this, the car would be based on the same PF2 platform which also underpins the Amaze. What about design? The design pattern of this car is not yet revealed but we can expect it to follow the path of Indonesian spec WR-V. High ground clearance, heavy body cladding, imposing front look would be the must-haves for this car.

This car will rival in the most lucrative segment wherein the powertrain options of the competition are efficient, power-packed and come available with varied configurations. However, if we look at the current options, it could possibly get the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol or the strong hybrid mill. Transmission options could range from a 6-speed MT or an eCVT gearbox.

Features play a salient role in this segment. If we take a look at the current competition we could see that the feature list of the cars is lengthy. Therefore, Honda has to leave a mark in this category. We could see a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and more. What about the launch? The launch of this vehicle could take place in mid-2023 before the festive season. Moreover, the pricing of this Honda is also set to be aggressive due to the heavy localisation it is supposed to undergo.
