2023 Tata Safari facelift spotted testing
The Tata Safari has been an iconic product in the country. It was one of the first true blue SUVs in the country. Since its re-launch in 2021, the Safari has raked in decent sales. However, competition has heated up in the last few years. So Tata is giving Safari several new features like ADAS etc in the Dark Red edition. But for design changes, you will have to wait for the facelift. Now, the Safari facelift has been spotted testing for the first time. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 new Tata Safari.
What’s new?
The spy shots were published by Rushlane. In this, we can spot a heavily camouflaged car, but it is easy to figure out this is the Safari from the rear overhang design. So what’s new? The front of the spied Safari seems to have taken several design elements from the Harrier EV. Tata has updated the grille, air dam and bumpers. We can also see some tweaks on the headlamps and fog lamps. The side profile is sporting new alloy wheels. At the rear, we have bigger tail lamps with seemingly a connecting strip in the middle.
What else could it get?
Tata has already loaded the Safari Red Dark edition with several new features like ADAS, a digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment system. So the facelift would be more of a design update. Still, we could see Tata giving a 12-inch infotainment system in the facelift. Other than that, Tata could also probably introduce the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine in the facelifted model.
2023 new Tata Safari – Launch timeline
For now, Tata is focusing on launching the Harrier and Safari Dark Red editions. This could mean that the Safari facelift is still a few months away. We expect Tata to launch the Safari facelift either by the end of 2023 or early 2024. Pricing-wise, it could be Rs 60k to 80k more expensive than the upcoming Red Dark editions.
