Maruti has rocked the Auto Expo with the unveiling of the Jimny 5 door. It’s just a couple of weeks and we could already hear the news of Jimny crossing 11,000 bookings. The bookings have begun with a token amount of Rs 25,000 which has lured many buyers to the NEXA showrooms. No doubt this lifestyle offroader is likely to rule the segment with many exciting things. New Jimny features – 4×4
Maruti has brought the ‘All Grip Pro’ (4×4) with Low range transfer case for all off-road enthusiasts. This has enabled the car to mark itself above the majority of compact SUVs. The addition of this tech has added another gear lever responsible for changing the drive mode from 2H, 4H and 4 Low mode.
Headlamp washer
Carrying forward the convenience of offroading, the new Jimny has made sure that it is able to cover the toughest off-roads without any hesitation. To ease that up, the Jimny has got headlamp washers to make sure that visibility does not tamper during night conditions.
New Jimny features – Flat folding front seats
The Jimny sold in the Indian market is the 5-seater model. This has resulted in an increase in the wheelbase than the regular model. Talking more about the seating layout, it has got an evenly laid out bench setup at the rear to enhance comfort. Moreover, the front seats can be reclined in a completely flat position to make sure that you get long flat surfaces to take a nap during your expedition.
Offroading capabilities
Alongwith the 4×4 low-range transfer gearbox, the car has got an impressive offroad character as well. You have an approach angle of 37 degrees whereas a commendable 49-degree of departure angle. Even if its wheelbase has increased extensively, the offroad nature of the car is still maintained.
