Bikes have always been an aspirational product in the country. But as the market matures people are now moving to bigger bikes and also to adventure bikes. More & more people are opting for off-road capable bikes. We already have some options in this segment, but more options are never bad. In today’s article, let’s talk about these new adventure bikes. 

Hero XPulse 400

The XPulse has become a benchmark in the affordable adventure bike segment. Now Hero wants to take the next step by bringing a bigger XPulse. This bike will be the XPulse400 which will come with a new 421cc engine. From sources, this engine is capable of producing 40bhp and 40Nm of torque. The bike has been spotted in testing and seems to be getting two variants. A street version and also a more off-road-focused one. It is expected to be launched sometime in 2023. 

New adventure bikes – Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

Like Hero, Royal Enfield is also upsizing the Himalayan 411. According to reports, Royal Enfield is working on a new 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed gearbox. This engine is expected to produce 40bhp & 40Nm of torque. The Himalayan 450 has been spotted a few times revealing a nimbler design than the Himalayan 411. Himalayan 450 is expected to be launched in the second half of 2023. 

TVS 310 Adventure

TVS is working on a 310 Adventure bike based on the BMW G310 GS. This bike is expected to share all its underpinning with the G310 GS. TVS could change some elements and give it the Apache badging. Engine-wise, we could see the same 312cc engine that is capable of producing 33bhp and 27Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox. TVS is expected to launch it in the second half of 2023. 

New adventure bikes – KTM 390 Adventure

KTM is working on the new-generation 390 Adventure. The bike has been spotted testing globally and also in India. This updated bike comes with a ‘Trellis’ frame offering better off-road performance. It also sported 21-inch front tyres with a high-mounted mudguard. It seems that KTM is making the bike more off-road capable, and we could also see a new suspension setup. KTM might launch this 390 Adventure sometime in 2024 after the launch of the new-gen 390.
