Hyundai had a decent 2022 in terms of sales and also new launches. It launched the facelifted Venue and also the all-new Tucson. But Hyundai knows that it will need to update its affordable models, to keep Tata at bay in the top-selling manufacturer’s list. Last week, Hyundai unveiled the facelifted Grand i10 Nios. Today, Hyundai has announced the pricing of the same. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Grand i10 Nios. 

Pricing and variants

The pricing of the new Grand i10 Nios starts from Rs 5.68 lakh and goes to Rs 8.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Variant lineup of the Grand i10 Nios includes – Era MT (5.69 lakh), Magna MT (6,61 lakh), Sportz MT (7.20 lakh), Magna AMT (7.23 lakh), Sportz AMT (7.74 lakh), Asta MT (7.93 lakh) and Asta AMT (8.47). Colour options include a new Spark Green colour alongside the Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue and Fiery Red.

The Grand i10 Nios facelifts get several new changes at the front. First up we have new eye-shaped headlamps giving the car a mean look. Hyundai has also tweaked the grille design and the new DRLs. The side profile is more or less similar to the outgoing model barring the new alloy wheels. At the rear, we now have a connected tail lamp design similar to the Venue facelift.

The interiors of the Grand i10 Nios are similar, but with some new touches. Firstly we have new footwell lighting, cruise control and modern upholstery. Safety-wise, Hyundai has made four airbags standard and six airbags on the top model. Hyundai has also added ESC, VSM, HAC,

The upcoming BS6 Stage 2 Norms are going to hit small cars hard. Early last year Hyundai discontinued the diesel on the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. Now it has discounted the turbo petrol keeping in mind the upcoming norms. So the Grand i10 Nios and Aura now only come with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine capable of producing 81bhp and 113Nm of torque. This engine is E20 compatible. Transmission options include a manual and an AMT gearbox. Hyundai has continued with the CNG setup on the 1.2-litre petrol engine with a claimed mileage of 27.3kmpl.
