Skoda has had a phenomenal 2022 with yearly sales reaching record-high numbers. We are talking about its immense success under the India 2.0 revival plan. Skoda is planning to take on the Ioniq 5 which has been unveiled for the Indian buyer. Standing against the likes of the premium EV category of India, this new Skoda SUV will rival the Ioniq 5. We are talking here about the upcoming Skoda Enyaq iV which is their new electric SUV. Standing tall at a ground clearance of 187mm, it is not a small car. This car measures 4,648mm in length, 1,877mm in width & 1,618mm in height. It gets a wheelbase of 2,765mm which lands it in similar proportions to the Kodiaq. However, it is a 5-seater car, unlike the Kodiaq. Talking about its design, it does look like an EV with the closed dark facade Skoda signature grille. The car also possesses sharp cuts and creases over the body styling making it look more aggressive.

The interior layout of this Skoda is in tandem with modern Skoda cars. We can see a similar dashboard layout with the AC vents placed lower on the dashboard. Another interior highlight is the digital instrument cluster which protrudes from the dashboard panel.  It also gets a 13-inch infotainment system with soft-touch materials, leather upholstery, an all-digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and more.

The Enyaq iV is spotted during its tests on Indian grounds. What more can we tell is also about the battery pack details? The spotted car was the ‘80x’ variant which is the top model with higher range capabilities. Talking about this variant, it gets a 77kWh battery pack which gives a claimed range of 513kms(WLTP cycle). This battery pack channels power to a dual motor setup with all-wheel-drive functionality. It churns out a power figure of 265bhp and 420Nm of torque.

As the current premium EV lineup is filled with Asian cars, it would be great to see how this Scandinavian chap performs. What about pricing?
