Citroen is the youngest manufacturer in the country. Since 2021, it has launched two cars in the market. Now Citroen is looking to up the ante with three cars coming in 2023. All these cars will be unique and will take on different segments in the market. With these launches, the brand will be hoping to penetrate the Indian market. So in today’s article, let’s talk about these 3 new Citroen cars.

eC3

The first car from the brand in 2023 will be the electric version of the C3. Citroen is already testing the car near its factory in Chennai. From the spy shots, it is clear that the brand is not giving it any major exterior changes. Even the interiors are expected to remain the same barring some EV touches here and there. What about the range and motor figures? The eC3 could come with a 30kWh battery pack delivering a claimed range of around 300km. Citroen could launch the eC3 in January or February 2023. The eC3 will compete with the upcoming Tata Punch EV.

MPV

The brand is also working on a beefed-up version of the C3. Citroen has plans to take on the Ertiga and Carens with this car. In 2022, spy shots of the MPV surfaced online. This clearly showed the third-row seating with adjustable headrests. Overall, the car looked like the C3 but with beefed-up wheel arches and a bigger overhang. Citroen could give it better interiors and features than the C3 hatchback. According to reports, Citroen could launch the C3 MPV by the end of 2023.

2023 Citroen cars – C3 CNG

Citroen is also working on a CNG version of the C3. The C3 CNG will help Citroen take on Maruti cars in this price segment. From reports, Citroen could pair this CNG setup on the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. In its petrol form, this engine is capable of producing 80bhp and 115Nm of torque. With a CNG setup, power figures may drop a little. Other than that, we don’t expect many changes in the exterior and interior. Citroen could ask for a premium of Rs 60k to 70k on the CNG variants.
