The Harrier marked the re-entry of Tata in the big SUV segment. So the Harrier holds a lot of significance for Tata Motors. However, the Harrier hasn’t received any major upgrades since 2020. This has led to competition catching up with it. To counter this, Tata is working on the facelift for the Harrier. Tata gave us a glimpse of what all this facelift could get at the Auto Expo. So, could it also improve its power figures? In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Tata Harrier.

More power?

As stated above, Tata is working on the Harrier facelift. At the Auto Expo, Tata revealed the Harrier Dark Red edition with new features like 10.25-inch infotainment system, 360-degree camera, 7-inch fully digital isntrument cluster, 4-way powered driver seat, ADAS and much more. However Tata also revealed its new 1.5-litre petrol engine capable of producing 167bhp and 280Nm of torque. If compared to the competition the petrol lacks raw power, but we will have to wait for the real-world usage. Also, Tata could also tweak the diesel engine a bit to produce more power to catch up with the competition.

What else could change?

The Harrier facelift is expected to get several changes in the interior and exterior. On the exterior, we could see some subtle changes like a reworked grille and new bumpers. Tata could also give it a new alloy wheel design. In the interiors, Tata could see a 12-inch infotainment system and new seat upholstery.
