The Toyota Fortuner is a car that immortalised its name in India. It has become the favourite car of many due to its road presence and reliability. With no competition in sight, Toyota has kept on increasing the price of the Fortuner. It is now a Rs 60 lakh car, but the interiors & feature-list don’t justify this price. So what can Toyota do? Bigger infotainment system
The Toyota Fortuner comes with a modest 8.0-inch infotainment system, but this is peanuts in the modern world. Even cars 2 to 3 segments below the Fortuner come with 10-inch infotainment systems. So Toyota needs to give the Fortuner a bigger infotainment system. A bigger infotainment system would also help improve the overall interior look of the big SUV.
Panoramic sunroof
The sunroof is one of the most demanded features in India. So it is quite surprising that the Fortuner doesn’t come with one. Being a full-size SUV, it will need a panoramic sunroof to cover the interior. The newly launched Innova HyCross comes with a panoramic sunroof, and we hope the Fortuner also soon gets that.
Toyota Fortuner 2023 features – Digital instrument cluster
The Fortuner comes with analogue dials paired with an MID screen. This looks very basic compared to other cars in this segment. A digital instrument cluster not only looks better but also offers more information than a conventional cluster. Toyota should offer it to make the Fortuner more luxurious.
Electronic parking brake
The electronic parking brake provides better convenience than a manual handbrake. You can deploy it just by a press of a button. Combine electronic parking brake with auto hold functionality, and then you don’t have to worry about city traffic. The EPB also makes the cabin look more modern. Toyota should add an electronic parking brake on the 2023 Fortuner.
Toyota Fortuner 2023 features – ADAS
ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, are quickly finding popularity in India. The newly launched Innova HyCross comes with ADAS. So we expect the new Fortuner to also come with ADAS functionality in the future.
