Mahindra Scorpio-N Z-4 in REAL life
The last few years have been mega for Mahindra. Last year, the launch of XUV700 sent ripples through the market. However, this year has been even bigger with the new Scorpio-N, as the Scorpio nameplate holds bigger prominence in the market. With its attractive pricing, we knew that the Scorpio-N would be a successful product. Due to high bookings, Mahindra prioritised the delivery of the Z8 and Z8L variants. Now Mahindra has commenced bookings for the mid and lower variants. One of the first Scorpio-N Z4 variants was recently delivered. In today’s article, lets talk about this Scorpio-N Z4 variant.
First Scorpio-N Z4?
The first Z4 Scorpio-N was posted on the youtube channel, Nick Zeek. It is a Scorpio-N Z4 diesel AT 4×2 variant purchased by Akash Choudhary from Nagpur. The car was delivered to Akash five days before the assured delivery date. Also, he got the car at the introductory price.
What’s different
So how is the Z4 variant different from the Z8 variant? On the exterior, we get a side step, but we miss out on alloy wheels, projector headlamps, LED DRLs and fog lamps. In the interiors, we have manual AC vents, steering wheel controls, drive modes (Zip, Zap & Zoom), MID, and rear AC vents. What about the safety features? The Z4 variant gets traction control, and hill descent control.
Scorpio-N Z4 variant – Specifications
The Scorpio-N Z4 comes with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. From the Z4 variant, we get the higher-tuned 2.2-litre diesel engine capable of producing 172bhp and 400Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and automatic on both engines. Mahindra also offers 4×4 capabilities on the diesel manual option.
