3 new Maruti SUVs coming under Rs 10 lakhs!
The SUV market is flourishing at a rapid pace. Everyone is buying one or looking to buy one. This growth has even attracted the eyes of ‘Maruti’ a manufacturer not particularly known for its SUVs. We have already seen that on the Brezza and Grand Vitara. Still Maruti is known for its affordable cars and it wants to continue that in its SUVs. It has plans to launch several new SUVs under Rs 10 lakhs. In today’s article, let’s talk about new Maruti SUVs.
Baleno Cross
The Baleno Cross is a crossover version of the Baleno Hatchback. It will get SUVs characteristics like higher ground clearance and beefed-up wheel arches. Another special thing is its tapering roofline giving it a coupe-like design. To match the coupe characteristics, Maruti is expected to give it a 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine of the Baleno RS. Maruti will also load the car with features to attract customers. It is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo of 2023, and the launch could happen soon after.
Jimny
One of the most hyped-up cars in the market is the Jimny. To deliver on the hype, Maruti is working on the 5-door model. Maruti is already testing this car in India and the unveiling is expected to happen at the Auto Expo of 2023. This 5-door Jimny is expected to come in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations for maximum penetration. Specifications-wise, it could come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine. It will come with 4×2 and 4×4 drive options. Will it be under Rs 10 lakhs? We think Maruti would want to create headlines by dropping the Rs 9.99 lakh starting price.
Maruti SUVs – New Ignis
The Ignis is one of the least-selling Maruti cars, and Maruti is looking to change that. Maruti could beef up the design of the Ignis to take on the Tata Punch. It could get significant changes to give it a bolder and meaner look. Specification-wise, it could continue with the same engine option. What about the features? It could get new features like an improved 7.0-inch touchscreen, new upholstery and a better sound system. Maruti could launch the new Ignis in the second half of 2023.
