The Harrier has been battling in the mid-size SUV segment for Tata. Initially launched in 2019, the Indian automaker also offers this car in a plethora of editions. This editions have refreshed the car with subtle feature upgrades but not a proper facelift. It has been 3 years since the car launch and it is a perfect time for it to receive a facelift update. The Harrier facelift has the chances of getting a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This could be the upgraded version of the 1.2-litre turbo petrol with an added cylinder. The Harrier has a balanced ride quality. It also gets chunky tyres which soak up potholes and bumps very well. Moreover, Tata now plans to upgrade the suspension to the next level. Now, Tata is expected to give this suspension more off-road capabilities. So, instead of giving it an AWD or 4×4 setup, the brand could simply tune the dampers to make the car more efficient on bad roads.
Tata Harrier facelift – More features
The current competition of the Harrier stands far ahead in terms of features. Tata has to boost up its game in the featured sector. For keeping this factor in check, Tata is likely to add more features to the Harrier facelift. The new car is expected to bring more features like larger infotainment system, 360 degree camera, mood lighting, all-digital instrument cluster and more. This will help the car to provide a better package over its loaded rivals like the Hyundai Tucson, upcoming MG Hector, etc.
New Design
The facelift change is likely to revamp the exterior of the Harrier. The car does get an imposing SUV stance and now the facelift update could accentuate it more. How could Tata do it? The new car is likely to get a new grille, new front fascia, new alloy wheel design, and minor tweaks on other elements.
