Hyundai is a brand that has never shied away from trying new things in the market. This approach has brought a lot of success to the brand. Last year, Hyundai launched the i20 N Line in India. This year it launched the first N Line SUV, the Venue N Line. So what will be the next N Line car? It could be the Hyundai Creta N Line. In today’s article, let’s talk about this Rs 18 lakh Hyundai SUV.

Rs 18 lakh Hyundai SUV – Design changes?

In June, Hyundai launched the Creta N Line in Brazil. However, a thing to note is that this N Line car is not based on the facelifted design unveiled in Indonesia. Its design is more in line with the Creta sold in India. So which will come to India? Only time will tell. For now, let’s talk about this Creta N Line. At the front, we have the N Line grille with the badging. In the side profile, we see a new alloy-wheel design. The rear houses the dual exhaust and extended spoiler design.

Interior changes

In the interiors, we could have N Line specific stitching on the seats and gear lever. The steering wheel is also the N Line exclusive. Hyundai could also add red ambient lighting to highlight the sporty characteristics. What about the features? Features could remain the same as the current model. So it will continue with the 10.25-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats etc.

Rs 18 lakh Hyundai SUV – Specifications

Since this will be an ‘N Line’ update, no major mechanical changes are expected. The Creta N Line will mostly come with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine capable of producing 138bhp & 242Nm of torque. Interestingly, the Brazilian spec model comes with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol. Could these engines come to India? Highly unlikely. Two things Hyundai could change are a re-tuned suspension setup and a better-sounding exhaust. Could Hyundai offer a diesel in the N Line? Traditionally, Hyundai doesn’t offer N Line variants in diesel, and we expect the same here.

India launch plan

Now, this is a tricky one to guess. As mentioned above, this car is based on the Creta sold in India. However, there are reports that Hyundai could launch an Indonesian Creta facelift in India. So if that’s the case first Hyundai will launch the facelift and then an N Line variant. Hyundai did something similar with the Venue facelift and N Line. So the Creta N Line could be launched by the end of 2023.
