Hyundai’s iconic sedan Verna is not sailing high on the sales chart. Of late, it is required a generation update that could take on its German rivals. So, Hyundai is updating the Verna which is likely to bring in more features, and more space packed in with an all-new design. What else could the 2023 Hyundai Verna get? Let’s find out!
2023 Hyundai Verna – Design
Hyundai is trying to hit two birds with one stone. How do you ask? The new gen Verna is going to be a bigger car. This would translate into more interior space and legroom. As the condition of the executive sedan space is felt mundane, Hyundai might target it with its C-segment sedan rather than launching the bigger Elantra. Other than this, the brand wouldmake extensive changes according to the current design language. So, we can expect the ‘parametric jewel design grille’, continuous light strip at the rear and other notable changes in the interior as well.
Features
As Hyundai could target the executive sedan space as well, this car needs to be heavily jacked. This new model is likely to get features which are often seen in the executive category. Heads Up Display, large infotainment screen, 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated seats, comfortable seat cushions, and more are expected in this car.
2023 Hyundai Verna -Specifications
There are minimal chances to see a new engine in the new Verna. Hyundai already has capable engine options and it could continue with the same. However, Hyundai might add mild hybrid technology to improve the mileage figures. If we see the current share of diesel Verna, it attracts 35 to 40% of its total sales. So, Hyundai might not discontinue the diesel. However, the diesel Verna could demand a hefty price due to the application of Phase 2 norms next year.
Price and Launch
It is highly likely that Hyundai might unveil the new Verna at the Auto Expo 2023. Only then, we can expect a proper launch in the first half of 2023. What about pricing? The new model is likely to get more expensive as it would be leaps ahead of the existing car.
