25 new cars coming in 2023!
The Indian market is a tough one to survive for manufacturers. Car makers need to always be on their toes to survive the market. They have to keep on updating existing cars or bring newer models. 2022 saw several new launches, and 2023 will be no different. In today’s article, let’s talk about 24 new cars coming in 2023.
New cars 2023- Maruti Baleno Cross
Maruti’s first product in 2023 is expected to be the Baleno Cross. The Baleno Cross is a beefed-up version of the Baleno hatchback with a tapering roofline. It will get several new features and is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo of 2023.
Maruti Jimny 5-door
Maruti is also working on Jimny 5-door for the Indian market. This car has been spotted testing in India with an overall silhouette similar to the 3-door Jimny. Other than that, it could get a newer engine and more features. Maruti could unveil the car at the Auto Expo of 2023.
New Maruti Swift
Maruti is working on a new generation of Swift. The car has been spotted testing in Europe with several design changes. It is confirmed to get a strong hybrid setup and several new features. Maruti could unveil the car in Europe by mid-2023 and the India launch could happen by the end of 2023.
New cars 2023 – New Hyundai Verna
Hyundai is working on a new-generation Verna. The car will be bigger and more premium than the outgoing model. Other than that, it could get several new features. Hyundai could unveil the car at the Auto Expo of 2023.
Hyundai Creta facelift
Hyundai could also launch the Creta facelift at the Auto Expo of 2023. Hyundai already sells the Creta facelift in several South East Asian markets. This facelift gets a new design and several new features like ADAS.
Hyundai Ai3
The Ai3 is Hyundai’s Punch rival. This car will not be the Casper, but rather a completely new product based on the Santro. To compete with the Punch, Hyundai could give it several new features and a quirky design.
Hyundai Stargazer
Currently, Hyundai doesn’t have an affordable MPV option in its lineup. The Stargazer could fill in this gap to take on Maruti Ertiga and Kia Carens. The Stargazer comes with a very unique design and features like ADAS etc.
Kia Seltos facelift
Like the Creta, the Seltos will also get a facelift in 2023. This facelifted model gets some subtle design changes and several new features like a digital instrument cluster and ADAS. Kia could unveil the Seltos facelift at the Auto Expo of 2023.
New Kia Carnival
Kia could also unveil the new Carnival at the Auto Expo of 2023. The new Carnival gets a premium design and several new features. Overall the new Carnival could be a lot more expensive than the current model.
New cars 2023 – Tata Harrier / Safari facelift
The duo of Harrier and Safari will be getting a mid-life facelift. In this facelift, Tata could change the grille design. Feature-wise, it could give them a bigger touchscreen, 360-degree camera and ADAS. Tata could unveil the car at the Auto Expo of 2023.
Tata Harrier EV
The Harrier could also get an EV version. This will be Tata’s first big EV in the market. Apparently, Tata is testing the car in its plant. Reportedly, Tata plans to unveil the car in the second half of 2023.
Tata Altroz EV
Another EV Tata could launch is the Altroz EV. Tata has showcased the Altroz EV at various Auto Expos. It could have some EV design highlights and new features to attract customers. Tata could launch the Altroz EV in the first half of 2023.
New cars 2023- Mahindra Thar 5-door
Mahindra is working on the much anticipated 5-door Thar. The Thar 5-door will offer more practicality than the 3-door model. It is expected to continue the same design, but get more features. Mahindra could unveil the Thar 5-door on 15th August 2023.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus
Another big SUV from Mahindra could be the Bolero Neo Plus. The Bolero Neo Plus will come in 7-seater and 9-seater configurations. Mahindra could launch this SUV in the first half of 2023.
Mahindra XUV400
Mahindra will be announcing the price of the XUV400 in January 2023. Overall the XUV400 is bigger than the XUV300 and gets a claimed range of 456km. Mahindra has also altered the interior design and has added some new features.
New cars 2023 – Toyota Innova HyCross
Toyota is preparing to launch the new Hycross in India. It will be quite a unique Innova due to its monocoque platform and no diesel engines. Toyota will be unveiling the car on the 25th of November in India. Pricing could be announced at the Auto Expo of 2023.
Maruti Innova
Toyota will be giving the Innova to Maruti. This car could get a different design and slightly different interiors. Maruti’s iteration could be unveiled six months after the Innova Hycross launch.
New cars 2023- Toyota Yaris Cross
Toyota will be getting the Baleno Cross from Maruti. Toyota might call it the Yaris Cross or the Corolla Cross. It will get a different styling and interior design. Toyota could launch its Cross a few months after the Baleno Cross.
Nissan X-Trail
This year Nissan unveiled three new cars that it could launch in India. One such car is the X-Trail which will take on the Toyota Fortuner. The X-Trail gets an aggressive design and modern features.
Nissan Qashqai
Like the X-Trail, Nissan has started testing the Qashqai in India. Nissan will test the Qashqai rigorously before bringing it to India. The Qashqai will compete with the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass.

MG is working on an affordable EV for the Indian market. This EV will be a compact two-door four-seater hatchback. MG will load the car with features to attract customers. It could be launched on 5th January 2023.
New MG Hector
Hector has been MG’s main pillar in the market, and now MG is looking to take a step further. This new Hector will come with a new design and several premium features. It will be sold alongside the current model to attract a wide range of customers. It is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2023.
Honda WR-V
Recently, Honda launched the new WR-V in Indoensia. This car is also expected to arrive in the Indian market. This new WR-V gets a SUV like design and several new features. Honda could unveil the car in the second half of 2023.
Citroen EV
Like other manufacturers, Citroen is also working on an affordable EV. This EV will be an electrified version of the C3. It could get some EV highlights on the exterior and more features. Citroen could be unveiled in the first three months of 2023.

Citroen’s next car will be the C3 Aircross, a beefed-up version of the C3. The C3 Aircross will be an MPV with three rows of seats taking on the Maruti Ertiga and Kia Carens. Overall it will get a quirky design and more kit than the C3 hatchback. It could be launched in the first half of 2023.
