Maruti’s offering in the compact SUV segment is likely to get the factory-fitted S-CNG option very soon. This bi-fuel option upgrade would give the Brezza a major point against its rival. Already the car is a hot-selling product and now with the addition of CNG, it could be second to none. In today’s article, we will discuss the details of the upcoming Maruti Brezza CNG in just 1 minute.

Maruti Brezza CNG – Design & Features

Maruti Brezza CNG

The overall design would remain the same as the regular car. It would continue to get its SUV characteristics like roof rails, body cladding and high ground clearance. Getting inside the car, features like SmartPlay Pro infotainment system, Heads Up Display, 6 airbags, and the 360-degree camera would remain alongwith the addition of the CNG switch button on the centre console. However, the most salient addition would be the CNG tank in the boot. It would take a significant amount of space from the Brezza’s 328-litres of boot capacity.

Powertrain

Maruti Brezza would continue to get the K15C 1.5-litre petrol engine (102bhp & 137Nm of torque). With the addition of the CNG bi-fuel option, power figures are expected to drop marginally due to the CNG nature. However, the CNG variant could return a higher mileage of around 28kmpkg, depending on the CNG pressure and driving style. Talking about the transmission options, the 5-speed manual would be made available and there are possibilities that Maruti may offer the 6-speed AT with CNG. If this happens, it would become the first CNG car to be made available with an automatic transmission.
