Activa is one scooter that everyone knows in the Indian market. It has kind of become a synonym for a scooter. So why is Activa so popular? Design
The design of the Activa has remained more or less similar in the last few generations. So we don’t expect Honda to give any major design changes to the Activa 7G. Honda could give it a sharper design to attract a younger audience. Also, like the Activa 6G, it would mostly come with a fuel lid placed externally for better convenience.
2023 Honda Activa 7G – Specifications
The Activa 7G will mostly continue with the same 109.51cc engine capable of producing 7bhp & 8.79Nm of torque. So, will there nothing be new with the specifications? According to rumours, Honda could give the Activa 7G a hybrid setup. Currently, Yamaha offers this on the Fascino and Ray ZR. These two-wheelers come with idle start-stop and smart motor generator systems that improve fuel efficiency. Honda could also offer bigger tyres to improve the ride and handling of the scooter.
Features
Honda will have to load the Activa with features to attract customers. The Activa 7G could get a digital instrument cluster. Currently, the Activa 6G comes with an analogue instrument cluster, which seems a bit outdated compared to some of its competitors. Other than that, the Activa 7G could come with Bluetooth connectivity, a hybrid switch, etc.
2023 Honda Activa 7G – Launch & Pricing
Honda launched Activa 5G in 2018 and Activa 6G in 2020. So technically Honda should have launched the Activa 7G in 2022, but the ongoing chip shortage must have affected Honda’s plan. So, when can we expect the launch of the Activa 7G? The launch should happen by mid-2023. In terms of pricing, the Activa 7G could get a price hike of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000, depending upon the variants.
