Design
Maruti is often spied testing the Baleno Cross on Indian roads. Though the car is camouflaged we can spot some design elements. It gets front DRLs like the Grand Vitara, meaning the headlight could be integrated into the bumper. Along with this split-headlamp setup, roof rails, high ground clearance, and a sloping roofline are given to the car to justify its SUV design.
Upcoming Maruti Baleno Cross – Features
It is notably the beefed-up version of the premium hatchback Baleno. This means that it could get a similar feature list to the Baleno. We can also expect extra features like a sunroof, wireless charging, an all-digital instrument cluster, etc.
Specifications
According to media reports, this car will likely get Maruti’s 1.0-litre Booster Jet engine that makes 100bhp & 150Nm of torque. The addition of this engine clarifies that Maruti is also focusing towards the performance of this car. The brand could also add its mild-hybrid tech to mount its mileage figures. Now, one thing to keep in mind is that this engine will most likely come mated to a manual gearbox. Now, how & will Maruti bring an automatic option for this car is still in question.
Upcoming Maruti Baleno Cross – Launch & Pricing
As aforementioned, the car gets spied on a frequent basis. Earlier reports have suggested that the Baleno Cross will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 with the launch happening in the following months. What about pricing? Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) could be the starting price of the car given that it has ample equipment on offer. This car would be sold from the premium Nexa dealerships.
