The Xpulse brand name is quite popular in the touring category. However, the 200T is the bike that gets the cold shoulder treatment. To get some momentum for this model, Hero is willing to give it the 4V treatment that we saw on its ADV sibling. It is likely to get a redesigned grab rail, new front fork gaiters, updated flyscreen, etc. In terms of mechanical changes, the 4 valve head is imminent along with changed gear ratios and a larger oil cooler. The bike is spotted in an undisguised avatar and we could expect this to launch in the current festive season. Pricing can experience a slight increase due to the additional tech in the engine.

There are reports about the development of a new 421cc engine that could be used in the Xpulse 400. Talking about the engine, it is likely to be a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine making around 40bhp and 40Nm of torque. Moving to the Xpulse 400, this new moniker has high possibilities to come in 2 iterations. Just like what we saw on the Xpulse 200 and 200T, the brand is likely to bring an adventure tourer and a more road-focused ‘T’ version. Both the bikes have been spotted testing on Indian soils which could go against the likes of RE Himalayan and KTM 390 ADV.
