In Indonesia, this will be called Zenix, while for the Indian market, it could be called the Innova HyCross. What about the new variants? The new Innova could come in five variants only with a 2.0-litre petrol engine. The variant lineup includes two non-hybrid variants – 2.0 G CVT & 2.0 V CVT and three hybrid variants – 2.0 G HV CVT, 2.0 V HV CVT & 2.0 Q HV CVT TSS. For context, HV stands for hybrid, and TSS means Toyota Safety Sense which is Toyota’s name for ADAS technology. Also, this new Innova will be getting the premium white pearl colour on all its variants according to the latest reports.

Indra Fathan also confirmed other details, which we have been aware of for some time now. The Innova HyCross will be based on the TNGA-C platform. So the Innova will be shifting to a monocoque chassis from its traditional ladder-on-frame chassis. Also, it will now be a front-wheel-drive vehicle. How will these changes affect the new Innova?
