Each car has a different location for this plate, so make sure you find it and check it thoroughly. See the rivets of the VIN plate and whether they are not altered.

Buying second hand car – Rust & Paint

Check the body of the vehicle inside out and find out if any metal part is eroded. Make sure you remove the rubber bidding on doors and check for any erosions. You can also check the paint quality of the car by placing it under extensive lighting. If the car is repainted in local garages, you can find the paint differences on the body parts.

Sealant 

If you are looking for a second-hand car and want to know whether it is accidental or not, checking the sealant quality is the best way to find out. The sealant which the factory provides is different from what you get in dealerships and garages. If the sealant near the joints such as the front apron, bonnet, and side arms has been tampered with, there is a high chance that the car is accidental.

Pillars

Check the pillars of the car by removing the rubber sealing. Cars come with robotic markings on the pillars which can be seen easily. If your car is accidental on the sides, these markings look tampered with due to repainting and uneven appearance.

Make sure you test drive the car on highways and off-road patches to identify any suspension noises and problems. While you drive your car on highways, also test the brakes of the vehicle if they are working in optimum condition. Check for unnecessary noises and rattling from the engine.
