New Hyundai Verna interior spied!
The Verna has been an iconic sedan in our market. Since its launch in 2006, it has gone toe to toe with the Honda City. The Verna is still a competent product but has gotten outdated when compared to the newer competitors. To counter this, Hyundai is working on the new Verna, which will be much bigger and grander than the current model. We have extensively talked about this new upcoming Verna, but have obtained new spy shots of the car. In today’s article, let’s talk about the spied new Hyundai Verna 2023.
New spy shots
We have obtained the new spy shots of the Verna from two of our readers. In one spy shot, we have the car in the daytime and the other during the night. The car is covered in heavy camouflage, but we can spot some new details. Straight away, we can see the bigger dimensions of the car. Also, we can spot the taillamp design which seems to be a LED pattern running through the rear. Headlamps are placed quite low, almost on the bumper. What about the interiors? We can spot the floating infotainment system in the middle. It seems to be a 10-inch Unit. Overall the car looks quite premium.
Expectations
The bigger dimensions should translate into better second-row space and legroom. These points have been the weakness of Verna. What about specifications? We expect Hyundai to retain the same engine options as the current model. So we can expect the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. However, there is an outside possibility that we could see the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine on the new Verna. This engine will help the Verna take on the 1.5-litre turbo of the Slavia and Virtus. Now let’s talk about features, being a Hyundai car, we expect a plethora of features. Some of the expected features include a 360-degree camera, heads-up display and improved connected car technology.
2023 Hyundai Verna- Launch timeline
Currently, there is no official confirmation from Hyundai regarding the new Verna. But of late, the car is being spotted several times in India and globally. All this indicates that Hyundai might be in the final stages of its development. According to reports, Hyundai could unveil the car in South Korea by the end of this year. In India, Hyundai could unveil it at the Auto Expo of 2023. The launch could follow within two to three months after the expo.
