Tata Punch to get a special variant!
Tata’s ambitious views in the SUV category came out in flying colours. All of its SUVs are better than ever in terms of safety and equipment. Its entry-level SUV -‘Punch’ revolutionized the micro-SUV segment in India. Though the segment had the KUV100 NXT, it is the Punch that has boosted this category. Tata’s micro SUV has maintained commendable steady sales figures since its launch. It has become the perfect buy for people who are looking for a hatchback with all the SUV perks. Moreover, with its quirky styling and funky interiors, it has managed to draw in a lot of buyers. It is also available in the Kaziranga edition which provides uniqueness and added features. As Tata is known to reignite their cars with new editions, Punch is all set to get the Camo edition. What could the Tata Punch Camo get? Let’s find out.
Tata Punch Camo -Design & Features
Tata Motors has teased the Punch Camo edition in a video teaser. It would be the second special edition after the ‘Kaziranga’. This new edition would differ from the regular car by adding cosmetics and accessory upgrades. It is likely to get a special ‘military green’ paint job with a black dual-tone roof option. We can also expect some additional body graphics to further accentuate this special pack. Additional updates would include black alloy wheels, black ORVMs, and ‘Camo’ badging around the car. Getting inside the ‘Punch Camo’, you would get minor updates just like we saw in the Harrier Camo. It would get a new seat upholstery with Camo badging and some upgrades on the equipment list. Tata could also provide additional Camo accessories with their Stealth and Stealth Plus packs. We can expect printed carpets, back seat organizers, and more.
Tata Punch Camo -Specifications
Mechanical-wise, the Punch Camo would be fairly identical to the regular car. No powertrain changes are expected in the car. It is likely to continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed Manual or an AMT gearbox. Currently, it is the only engine option available in the Punch that returns a mileage of 18.9 kmpl(claimed) and 18.8 kmpl(claimed) in Manual and AMT gearbox respectively.
Tata Punch Camo -Launch and Pricing
Tata Punch Camo is all set to launch on 22nd September that is tommorow. It is highly likely that the car would be made available in its higher trim levels. So, we can expect the ‘Creative’ trim to get it. The pricing of the regular ‘Punch Creative’ starts at Rs 9.81 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) so the Camo could be around Rs 30 to 50 thousand more expensive.
