Hyundai to dominate SUV market with this?
The Creta has played a very important role in Hyundai’s meteoric rise in the Indian market. Since its launch in 2015, it lead the SUV sales chart for several years. The Creta continues to do well, but Hyundai has several updates in its store for the Creta. One such update is the Creta N Line. Hyundai’s N Line of cars are inspired by its performance-based N cars. However, N Line cars only get cosmetic changes. Hyundai has already launched the Creta N Line in Brazil, and it is also expected to come to India. In today’s article, let’s talk about this Hyundai SUV.
Design changes
For starters, the Creta N Line is based on the model sold in India and not the facelifted model sold in Indonesia. With these changes, the Creta N Line looks even more aggressive. So what has Hyundai changed? The Creta N Line comes with a new aggressive meshed grille with the N Line badging and new alloy wheels. It could also get new bumpers and slightly tweaked taillamps. Coming to the interiors, we see more N Line badging on the steering wheel, seats etc. The N Line also gets red-coloured ambient lighting to match the sporty characteristics.
Specifications
As mentioned above, the N Line of cars comes only with cosmetic changes. So we can expect the Creta N Line to come with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine capable of producing 138bhp & 242Nm of torque. Traditionally Hyundai doesn’t offer diesel engines on its N Line of cars, so it will most likely not offer it on the Creta N Line. What could Hyundai change? We don’t expect engine retuning, but Hyundai could retune the suspensions and tweak the exhausts note.
Hyundai SUV- Pricing & launch
Hyundai is launching one N Line car per year. Last year, we saw the i20 N Line and this year, it is bringing the Venue N Line. So considering all this, we can expect the Creta N Line sometime next year. Another thing to note is the Creta facelift is also expected to hit Indian shores next year. So it is a bit of a mystery which one comes to India first. What about the pricing of the Creta N Line? We expect the Creta N Line to start from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
