Maruti has found decent success with its Nexa brand, and is now looking to bring more cars to its Nexa dealerships. Grand Vitara
The Grand Vitara is Maruti’s latest SUV to hit the Indian market. Maruti has already unveiled the vehicle and is expected to launch it in the upcoming weeks. As a product, the Grand Vitara will take on heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Maruti Grand Vitara has a sharp design language with a lot of modern elements. In terms of specifications, it gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a mild hybrid and a strong hybrid setup. Along with the strong hybrid, another segment-first feature for the Grand Vitara is the AWD setup. What about features? It gets a 9.0-inch infotainment system, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, HUD, etc.
Premium Maruti cars – Baleno Cross
Maruti is working on a sleeve of SUVs. Recently, it confirmed that it wants to bring an SUV in all segments. Maruti is even ready to go in unknown territories like the coupe SUV segment and for that, a product is already under development. The car is codenamed YTB and is touted to come with Baleno Cross moniker. Earlier this month, the Baleno Cross was spotted testing for the first time. It gets eyebrow DRLs and a grille similar to the Grand Vitara. The side profile reveals tapering roof giving it the coupe dynamics. However, it shares its overall design language from the Baleno. What about features? The coupe SUV is expected to come loaded with features like a 9.0-inch infotainment system, premium sound system, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, etc. Maruti is said to unveil the coupe SUV at the Auto Expo of 2023 with a launch set to happen in the months following.
Jimny 5-door
The Jimny is one of the most hotly anticipated cars in the Indian market. Being such a popular product, Maruti will definitely ask for a premium for it. So it is expected to be retailed from Maruti Nexa dealerships. Recently, the Jimny 5-door was spotted testing in Europe. Overall, Maruti has retained similar design elements (round headlamps & bumper-integrated tail lamps) that the Jimny 3-door gets.
What about the engine specifications? According to reports, the Jimny 5-door could get the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine on the lower variants and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine on the higher variants. It will come with Maruti’s AllGrip 4WD technology. The Jimny 5-door is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo of 2023.
