The pricing of the new Alto K10 starts from Rs 3.99 lakh and goes to Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The variant lineup includes six variants – four manual (STD, LXI, VXI, VXI+) and two automatic (VXi and VXi+). Colour options include Metallic Sizzling Red, Metallic Silky Sliver, Metallic Granite Grey, Pearl Metallic Earth Gold, Metallic Speedy Blue & Solid White.

The Alto K10 gets a dimension boost over the Alto 800. It is 3,530mm in length, 1,490mm in width & 1,520mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2380mm and has a boot space of 214-litres. With changed dimensions, it also gets a new design. At the front, we have new pearl-shaped headlamps and a new grille. The side profile is simple with no sharp cuts and creases. What about the rear? It gets squarish taillamps with a new tailgate like the new Celerio.

Like all newer Maruti cars, the Alto K10 is based on the Heartect Platform. As the nameplate suggests, the Alto K10 comes with a 1.0-litre K10C petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 67bhp & 90Nm of torque. Maruti uses this same engine on the S-Presso. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. With the AMT gearbox, Alto K10 becomes the cheapest automatic car in India. Mileage figures are 24.39kmpl for the manual gearbox and 24.90kmpl for the AGS gearbox. The new Alto sits on R13 145/80 tyres.
