Upcoming Maruti cars in India – Maruti Suzuki YTB
Spotted in heavy camouflage by our reader, this new SUV codenamed ‘YTB’ has created quite a buzz. This new product from Maruti could be the crossover version of the Baleno. Additions of higher ground clearance, body cladding, and other tweaks in design would be the notable differences from the standard car. The production version of the YTB would adopt a coupe-like floating roof design from the Futuro E concept. Under the hood, it is expected to have a 1.0-litre Booster Jet petrol engine seen in the Baleno RS. Feature-wise it could get all the modern-day tech to stay afloat in the market as features have today become the USP of any car.
Jimny 5-door
Maruti could bring the Jimny to India in a 5-door layout. A very highly anticipated car from the brand, this new 5-door version would have a wheelbase of 2550mm (300mm increased over the 3-door version) for accommodating rear passenger seats. With increased legroom for rear passengers, it would offer a major advantage in comfort levels over its rivals. Maruti would offer creature features in the car to stay in line against its direct competition- Mahindra Thar & Force Gurkha. Maruti could offer ‘All-Grip Pro’ (4×4 system) as it’s a must-have feature for this segment. We are expecting to see the first look of the 5-door Jimny at the Auto Expo 2023.
Upcoming Maruti cars in India – Hyundai Alcazar rival
Maruti is said to be working on a top-of-the-line premium 3-row SUV that could go against the Hyundai Alcazar. There’s only a little information available that this new SUV would be based on Ertiga’s platform and we are expecting a new 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine for improved performance. This new SUV could house some premium features like ventilated seats, a digital dash, and an expected segment-first feature. This new premium SUV is expected to be priced around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
